This was the summer of 1993.  I hadn't flown solo in quite a while.  So I talked a friend who's also an instructor into taking Eric and me for a ride around the area. Eric did a fine job.   All those hours in front of flight simulators really paid off.  It took me quite a while to perfect a coordinated turn.  Eric managed it on the first try.
