Almost every spring, the Paint Rock overflows its banks.  See my dish antenna just to the right of the white bush? OK, then, here's a closer look.  The floods are controlled by the TVA, and the water has never threatened the house.  But the water does cover the road at times, which can be good or bad, depending on whether I'm caught at home or in town.  I like to be caught at home. It's possible to find interesting, and sometimes even useful items in the back yard when the water goes down.
