CJ Anderson's Letter

Back Up Next

My notes indicate that Doug Anderson has a letter that indicates the following:

September 14, 1914
Letter from C. J. Anderson (Frank's dad), Friendship, TN, to Frank
On letterhead indicating "Dealer in Buggies, Wagons, Harness, Sheet Iron, All Kinds of Lubricating Oil." Letter was addressed to F.E. Anderson, Tigrett, TN.

But that's it.  For some reason I seem not to have the text of the letter.  I have no idea why.  Maybe Doug would like to transcribe it and send it to me to be included here?  Maybe?  Hm?

I also remember a letter on stationery from a railroad, that talked about Frank and how he was turning his young life around.  I seem not to have that one either.  Anybody know what I'm talking about?  Doug?

And also, on September 22, 2001 my father Fred Anderson told me that Grandaddy Anderson used to have a flour mill in Friendship, and that he remembers his father telling him how nimbly Grandaddy Anderson could roll those big flour barrels around.
