We stop for lunch again. After a while, all these roadside pit stops started to look alike. Some charged for the potty and some didn't. But all of them sold souvenirs.
Those are fire breaks in the hills.
We're getting up into some mountains now.
Here's a town noted for making rose soap and rose tea and rose perfume and rose this and rose that and even the toilet paper at the pit stop smelled of roses.
That's one big rose.
I tried and tried to capture a picture of a horse-drawn wagon. We saw them pretty regularly, but not often enough that I ever really had my camera ready.
Yep, mountains all right. This is starting to look like Colorado or Wyoming.
And then we found the most spectacular pit stop of the trip.
It truly did seem like we were in the American West. That's a restaurant down there. Nice, huh?
That's the pit stop.
Is that a Magnum bar Wendy's eating? Magnum bars are exceptionally good ice cream on a stick.
