Well fooey. This sure was a short trip.

Joe chose to sleep late on the final day of the trip, but Bill agreed to meet Lily and Rocky at the hotel pool when it opened at 9:00 AM.

So where were they?

Nobody home.

Wait, the tourists have arrived at the pool.

Rocky thought his towels looked like a smiley face.

The air was cool but the water was heated and there were almost no other people around. We'll come back to the Lotus Lagoon for lunch.

Having a big pool like this to ourselves was so nice.

Well, Rocky though so anyhow.

Hey, ya'll.

Shhh...Bill's in his happy place.

Sunning is almost as good as swimming.

Says the beached whale.

Lily suns and swims all at the same time.

Our regular restaurant in the hotel lobby was closed between breakfast and lunch, so we had our goodbye meal poolside.

We thanked the nice waitress for taking our picture but we really did need to get our food NOW! We have a plane to catch!

Once it finally arrived we pronounced it good.

And then we took a Lyft to the airport. Our departure is coming much too soon.

Bye, Universal.

Now where's our gate?

When Bill discovered none of the others had ever had a Caramel Ribbon Crunch Frappucino at Starbucks, he was horrified. They needed to have one at once because they just didn't know what they were missing. Turned out they all agreed Bill's tasted good, but they didn't want one for themselves. Buncha heathens.

On the flight home Bill sat with Rocky and the hat.

Well it was a quick trip all right. Flew from Nashville to Orlando after school on Thursday, swam at Volcano Bay on Friday (when some people could’ve been in school), walked from morning till night through Epic Universe on Saturday, and Sunday flew home. We packed a lot into slightly more than three days. Lily and the boys thanked Bill for the trip and Bill thanked them for helping him have a grand time reliving the kind of fun he had as a kid.

When Rocky returned to school his English teacher required him to write a report on the trip and he did such a good job I think we should let him have the last word:

Rocky

A couple of days ago I went to Universal Studios in Orlando, Florida to see the new Epic Universe park. We didn't drive there. Instead, we flew there on a plane because driving is boring. We got a window seat on the way there even though my mom said we definitely wouldn’t get a window seat. I saw 25-30 baseball Stadiums on the flight there.  When we got there, we went to our hotel called the Helios. There was a light show going on when we got to Helios in the dark, so it looked really cool. I got a really expensive looking berry tart for a snack, and it was really good. The first day, we went to the water park called volcano Bay to ride lots of water slides. We also reserved a cabana, and it was so nice.

The next day, we went to the  Epic Universe, which has five parks in it. First, we went to Nintendo world, and the entrance was awesome. I was blown away by everything there. We rode the Mario Kart ride first, and I loved it! Then we went to the Harry Potter area of the park  and rode a cool ride there called The Battle at the Ministry. Then we went to the celestial park and rode a giant carousel that spins. I rode on a polar bear. Next, we went to the Dark World where I didn't ride anything because they were all too scary. Then finally we went we went to the Isle of Berk where we went to a cool show and rode a water gun boat ride, so I got absolutely soaked! Before we went back to the hotel, we went back to Nintendo World to get a cool Luigi hat and keychain for my souvenir.

The day we left to come home from Universal Studios we woke up tired and a little sad but also a little glad to go home. My brother slept late but the rest of us went to the pool and had a good time. The water felt like 85 degrees, and we swam and played with a beach ball. We woke up my brother and checked out of the hotel. Then we ate at the pool side restaurant before leaving to go to the airport.  On the way home we got a window seat at the back of the plane, as well as some good snacks.

Rocky, I couldn't have said it better myself!
