Tracing the Escape Route of John Wilkes Booth
On September 30, 2012, I joined a Smithsonian Associates bus tour that followed the route taken by John Wilkes Booth in his desperate attempt to escape justice after assassinating Abraham Lincoln. Even considering the terrible subject matter, this turned out to be a great way to spend a beautiful fall day in the company of very pleasant people. The tour was interesting, informative, and a lot of fun. I promised the group I'd put some pictures on the web as soon as I got home, so here they are. If anyone has additional pictures to add to my set, please send them to me via email and I'll post them here along with mine. Thanks! Bill Anderson
