Playing at Disneyland

Laura and Rob NASA Kids California Adventure

I've always been a fan of Disneyland and Disney World and pretty much any amusement park with big roller coasters.  But I sure didn't expect to be able to enjoy the place quite so much over the course of a few months.

In October, 2004, I had a day to spare in Los Angeles, so I invited my niece Laura and her friend Rob to spend a day at Disneyland and California Adventure, the new amusement park that's been built in the old Disneyland parking lot.

Then, in April 2005 I was in Los Angeles again working in the NASA exhibit at the National Council of Teachers of Mathematics Convention.  The Convention Center was just across the street from Disneyland, so when we had some hours off, several of my NASA friends and I visited the parks again.  And again.  We had a great time, but maybe I've had enough Disneyland to last me for a while.

Oh, this picture?  It's a long story.
