I have to say the folks at Islands of Adventure have spared no effort or expense on some of their attractions.

This Poseidon Adventure attraction really outdid everything but maybe the Harry Potter stuff.  And the nice thing is that all the crowds were in Hogwarts, so the line for this really wasn't all that long.

See?  Mostly just us outside the big show.

And on the inside, we met this poor guy.  He's an Indiana Jones type who's found this trident thing and when he touches that round door it twists and turns and cranks and opens, to reveal a really cool cylindrical tunnel that has real water blasting up one side and over the top and down the other side -- and we all have to walk through it.  My glasses fogged up, and so did Gavin's.  I'll bet everybody else's did too.

Now on the other side of the tunnel there was this humongous room with big movie screens that were basically cascades of water with film projected onto them.  Pretty amazing, actually.

And if those "small" screens weren't enough, how about this huge screen onto which was projected the ultimate battle between good guy Poseidon and a bad guy, I dunno who he was, who lost the fight, of course.  Whew.  What with all those threats and explosions and great balls of fire, I thought evil would triumph there for a minute.

Fortunately, the Indiana Jones wannabee came through for us and we made it out alive.  I think that must be the bad guy up there, turned into an eternally barfing rock formation.
