AM knee report: it is developing bright tropical colors, so I’m blending in nicely with all the other tourists.

In addition to all the regular stuff, I had Dole pineapple soft serve for breakfast. That darker soft serve is açai. What is that you ask? Allow Wikipedia to explain: The acai (ah-sigh-EE) berry is a grapelike fruit harvested from acai palm trees, which are native to the rainforests of South America. Like other berries, acai berries contain antioxidants and fiber. It was just as yummy as the pineapple.

Sherry and Jeanie are on something like the 33rd floor, so they have a better view from their room than I do

See what I mean?

Look at all the high rises.

Jeanie is certainly taking it all in.

And look down there!  It's the Royal Hawaiian.

Their partial view of the ocean has lots more surfers.

Outriggers too.  It's crowded down there.

I found a Starbucks cup for my collection. Now some mornings at home I can remember all this while I am sipping coffee.

I walked down to the Royal Hawaiian to buy another Hawaiian shirt. Now that I have it back at the room I think it’s too big, so I’m going to return it tomorrow.

It’s quite a hike down there on a bad knee. But I survived.

The lobby of the Royal Hawaiian is first class.

Just like the rest of the hotel.

There are interesting sights along the sidewalk.

Bill has found Sherry out by the pool.

Bill is sunning his legs.

But not for long.  Bill does not need sunburn pain to complement his knee pain.

Now this was a very nice dinner.  Hy really knows how to prepare a medium rare steak Pittsburgh style -- scorched crusty on the outside and tender on the inside.

A meal to remember.
