Here it is; all complete on July 2, 2009.

The tiles are hand-painted Portugese azulejos.  I saw them all over Lisbon when I was there on vacation in 2003, and I decided then that if I ever remodeled my kitchen I'd include real Portugese tiles.

With all the new cabinets, you'd think I'd have more space in the kitchen.  But not really.  I don't even have a place to put my mixer away.  But I'm getting used to it.  And I'm getting rid of a lot of stuff I never use to make room for what I really need.

See the little soap squirter by the sink?  I thought I didn't really need it but I've taken to it immediately.

Looking at pictures, my mother thought my new sink was smaller than my old one.  Nope, it's huge -- deep and wide.

The refrigerator is huge too.  But I really like it.

View through the opening from the living room.

I ordered that olive oil poster off the internet.  Needed it to cover an ugly fuse box.

Blurry view.

My favorite refrigerator.
